Kurse

Die ein- oder zweiwoechigen Sprachkurse in Phil Huffmanns Familie werden ganzjaehrig angeboten. Dabei werden 15 bis 25 Lektionen im Einzelunterricht erteilt. Dadurch wird gewaehrleistet den unterschiedlichsten, individuellen Anforderungen der Teilnehmer - vom Anfaenger bis zum fortgeschrittenen Sprachschueler - gerecht zu werden.
Sprachschueler jeglichen Geschlechts, ab 14 Jahren sind willkommen.

 

Kurse ohne Familienanschluss

Der Einzelunterricht kann ohne Familienanschluss gebucht werden. Er findet ebenso im Haus von Familie Hufman statt und kostet £15 pro Unterrichtseinheit. Auch hierbei wird gewaehrleistet den unterschiedlichsten, individuellen Anforderungen der Teilnehmer - vom Anfaenger bis zum fortgeschrittenen Sprachschueler - gerecht zu werden.

My English Course at the home of Phil Huffman

I have just completed a two week English course (from Febrary 1st, 2004) with Philip Huffman at his house in Chelmsford. I've had lessons there for four hours every day and I have enjoyed my lessons very much. My grammar and pronunciation have improved. The more I studied with Philip the better my vocabulary became. The subject matter was wide and varied. We read lots of articles and did many exercises.

I also met and spoke with Philip's wife Vicky and their son Joel. They helped me with my studies and made me feel very much at home. I always felt very comfortable there and would like to thank them very much for all their help and assistance. My improved English will help me with my career and my personal relationships.

MY ENGLISH COURSE IN PHIL HUFFMAN'S HOUSE

During the month of October of 2002 I was at Phil Huffman's home receiving an English language course with very satisfactory results.

Since the first day, Phil's interest in improving my pronunciation - something very difficult - was recommendable, utilizing all methods available: tapes, specialized books, very adequate questionnaires prepared by him and, above all, his linguistic control, achieved an extraordinary change in my pronunciation..

Intensive grammar was also one of the sections of the course in which I improved immensely, above all the use of verbs and their correct application, in many cases very different to the Spanish usage.

Translation and written English were also present in this course and, as is natural, continuous spoken English.

At Phil's house the food is really fantastic, his wisfe Vicky is one of those great cooks that refuses to believe you cannot eat more. Vicky besides being a great cook, is a comprehensive conversationalist that is always willing to help you understand what is being said; she speaks clearly and very slowly, adapts to your rhythm of learning and is a magnificent addition to you English tuition.

The course includes a daily outing, such as visits to museums, art galleries, historic monuments, nearby beaches, pubs, commercial centres and of course the city of London.

If your intention is to perfect your knowledge of the English language and to live with an English family, this is without doubt a good choice, I can recommend it.
