About
Phil Huffman was born in Germany and grew up in England and the U.S.A.
He lived in Chelmsford, Essex for 14 years, where he was a valued member
of the local community having supported various local issues and was a
regular churchgoer. He founded The
Chelmsford Spanish Circle in 1994. |
| Phil qualified as a Trinity College London TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher in 1993, he has since taught many foreign students of all ages in his home where he lives with his wife and fifteen year old son, seen in the photo with his daughter and her boyfriend. |
Phil lives in Burwell, a large village in Cambridgeshire. Burwell is in agricultural area and borders on the marshy fen country. It has a windmill, a museum, pubs and shops. Providence House, built in 1924, has a large garden and country walks nearby. |
Burwell is very close to Newmarket,
with its race course and stud farms. Twenty minutes drive is the cathedral
town of Ely, an island in The Fens. The university town of Cambridge
is a half hour drive. The Imperial War Museum at Duxford is a forty minute
drive. |
